Lower trim levels of the TT Coupe are equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 228 horsepower and 258 pounds of foot torque. A slightly tweaked version ups the performance level to 288 horsepower. The TT RS trim level has a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine that generates up to 394 horsepower and 354 pounds of foot torque.
All of the cars have an automatic seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. The vehicle's low profile and AWD architecture ensure stability whether driving on a straight away or careening around curves. The special Drive Select technology gives drivers the opportunity to choose handling levels based on agility or comfort.
