When you take home a new Audi, you will get to experience the advanced technology in the Audi MMI® system, which stands for "multimedia interface." This system uses both touch screen and voice recognition technology to customize your driving experience.

Touch-screen technology

New 2020 Audi vehicles come standard with dual touch screens. Depending on the model and trim level you choose, it may come with an 8.8- or 10.1-inch upper screen for infotainment and navigation along with a lower touch screen for climate controls and other functions, including turning into a scrawl pad where you can trace letters. Both screens provide haptic feedback that responds to your touch.

Voice controls

Your Audi understands natural voice patterns, so you can talk to your Audi like you would a person. Want something to eat, simply say, "I'm hungry" and your Audi will suggest a nearby restaurant. To make it warmer or cooler inside, tell your Audi what temperature you want the cabin to be.

Navigation

With the available navigation system, you can find some new favorite destinations. If you're in unfamiliar territory, you can search for local points of interest or simply use voice commands to find what you need.

Audi Virtual Cockpit

Make your driving experience even most customized with the available Audi Virtual Cockpit. This gives your Audi a full-digital driver display. You can choose what information you want to see, including a full navigation map across the center.

Rear passenger controls

Some Audi models are available with rear passenger controls for the MMI system. It comes with a small panel that can hold in your hands. It gives you access to some vehicle features like cabin lighting, climate controls, and media.

Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™

The Audi MMI system also come standard with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. This makes it easier to connect your smartphone and use some of its apps and features on the MMI touch screen.
