Audi of America recently declared January results of 13,201 vehicles sold, registering an 11 percent gain over results from January 2016. This marks the 73rd consecutive record month for Audi, as the momentum from seven straight years of record U.S. sales continues.
The record results were fueled by strong demand for SUVs, with the segment's sales growing 22 percent over those of January 2016. Q5 sales improved 35 percent, while the Q3 increased 31 percent and the Q7 ticked up 3 percent. Consumers also showed high interest in the Audi sedans, as the A4 sedan's sales grew 31 percent and the A6 was up 20 percent.
In a press release, Mark Del Rosso, chief operating officer, Audi of America, stated, “Coming off a record year, we were pleased to see strong consumer demand across the product portfolio in January. We believe that Audi is poised for continued success in 2017 with products that will excite our customers and draw them into our showrooms.”
